Every piece of metal we deliver to you comes complete with a test certificate.
It is your guarantee of traceability.
It is your peace of mind that you have sourced the right metal for the job and that your metal will meet the exacting standards demanded by Australian manufacturing.
We supply only the best quality raw material and your test certificate tells you everything you need to know to ensure that you have made the right purchase.
A test certificate is a piece of paper that, among other things, outlines the:
right metals was selected for the job of course!
Why does it matter?
The information within your test certificate enables you to ensure that that your metal meets relevant AWS and
ASTM standards gives you the peace of mind you need to push forward with your project.
Uncertified metals always carry an element of risk. Not being able to trace the origin or the metal, having no certainty of compliance and testing results is a gamble.
Consider where your metal is going to be used.
Materials that are easy to access are relatively straightforward to monitor and maintain. But what happens when the weld or the plate or the machined new fitting is submerged deep within the ocean? How easy is it to access if it is part of the inner workings of a plant?
Best case scenario would enable you to close down production before part failure. How long production remains on hold for will depend on how easy the failing part is to access and replace.
Worst case scenario could result in a failure of the metal during production or use. At times like this lives are lost, damage is vast and production can halt indefinitely.
Certification of metals matters.
What should you do with it?
Your test certificate is a legal document that should be stored within your files for many years. You can be required to produce this document by the fabricator who uses the material or end user.
