Titanium is lightweight, strong, corrosion resistant and abundant in nature. Titanium and its alloys possess tensile strengths from 30,000 psi to 200,000 psi (210-1380 MPa), which are equivalent to those strengths found in most of alloy steels.
The density of titanium is only 56 percent that of steel, and its corrosion resistance compares well with that of platinum.
Of all the elements in the earth's crust, titanium is the ninth most plentiful.
Titanium has a high melting point of 3135°F (1725°C).
This melting point is approximately 400°F (220°C) above the melting point of steel and approximately 2000°F (1100°C) above that of aluminium.
Titanium Round BarsSpecialty Metals hold a vast stock of Titanium Round bar.

Titanium MaterialsSpecialty Metals has access to some of the largest Titanium producers and stocking distributors across the globe. We can offer a wide range of Titanium products.
We spend a lot of time and energy selecting producers and distributors. We are often visiting the mill's to audit QA/QC measures. Where possible we will select the raw material or the starting ingot for our bars and wires to ensure the best quality. We have full traceability and supply our Material Certs with every order. We can also offer third party testing on lot orders from the mill if required. Titanium’s superior corrosion resistance makes it the ideal material for subsea engineering works. We have recently supplied a number of companies with the titanium grades they need to undertake subsea exploration and repair work. As with all work of this nature, it was essential that these companies receive their titanium orders as quickly as possible. Because we stock a large range of titanium rod and titanium round bar, stainless steel and exotic metal products in our WA warehouse, we are able to cut and ship orders within hours, getting your titanium to site quickly and keeping your production or development going. As a distributor working within the titanium industries, we understand the need our customers have for prompt service. |
